Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 to 1 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix both sugars, margarine and egg in mixing bowl with large spoon.
    Stir together or sift flour, salt and soda; then stir into sugar mixture (dough will be stiff).
    Stir in chips and nuts; then drop on cookie sheet (ungreased) by rounded teaspoonfuls.
    Bake until light brown for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Let cookies cool slightly, then remove from cookie sheet with spatula onto paper towels or cookie racks to cool.
    Store covered.
