Southern Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2/3 c. milk
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
chicken broth
Preparation

Mix all ingredients well and chill for 1 hour.
Roll out dough thin and cut into 2-inch strips.
Make sure dough is well floured. Drop into boiling broth and cook until done.
Do not stir while they are cooking. They cook within 1 hour over medium heat.
