Quick And Delicious Watermelon Rind Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size watermelon
    1/2 c. salt
    2 gal. water
    1 1/2 pt. vinegar
    12 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Cut rind of watermelon into 1-inch blocks.
    Boil in salt water, 1/2 cup salt to 2 gallons of water, for 5 minutes or until tender. Drain, then soak and wash through 3 cold waters.
    Drain.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, cloves and cinnamon and cook until clear.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
