Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. liquid shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 grated lemon rind (can use dry lemon peel)
1 tsp. lemon extract
juice of 1 lemon (2 Tbsp.)
1/2 c. confectioners sugar or more
maraschino cherries
Preparation

Mix the shortening, sugar, baking powder, nuts, milk, flour, eggs, lemon rind and lemon extract.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 90 minutes.
Cool 20 minutes, then glaze.
