Joann'S Cream Of Spinach Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion, minced
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
    2 c. half and half
    1/2 tsp. fresh ground white pepper
    1/2 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
    1/2 lb. bacon, chopped and fried crispy
Preparation
    Melt butter and oil in large saucepan; add onion and saute until transparent, about 5 minutes.
    Press defrosted spinach in strainer.
    Reserve liquid.
    Add spinach to onion.
    Mix well. Sprinkle with flour.
    Stir.
    Cook about 3 minutes.
    Blend in broth and reserved spinach liquid.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Stir in half and half, pepper and nutmeg and simmer 5 more minutes.
    Add bacon and serve.
