Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat sugar, butter, margarine and eggs until light and fluffy. Add lemon juice, then flour.
    Mix well and pour batter on ungreased cookie sheet and spread.
    Put 2 or 3 cherries on each square.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
