Sugar Gem Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Combine the sugars, butter, oil, vanilla and eggs.
    Beat together until light and fluffy.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Chill dough.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls and in sugar.
    Press with a glass that has been greased and dipped in sugar.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Do not brown cookies.
    Makes a large batch.
