Hush Puppies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. water
2 c. cornmeal
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until real thick and turns loose from the sides of the pan. As soon as the mixture has cooled enough to handle, take the size you want and roll in your hands into a puppy. Place puppies on paper towels in Tupperware. Change the towels once. We think this is better to make one day and fry the next day. Changing the towels takes out the extra moisture, fries better. Fry in deep fat.
