Pineapple-Apricot Oat Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-8 1/2 oz can crushed or chunk pineapple with juice
    1-12 oz jar thick apricot preserves, or 1 1/2 cup apricot jam
    1/4 C sugar
    1/4 C cornstarch
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 1/2 C flour
    1 C packed brown sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    2 C rolled oats
    3/4 C butter
Preparation
    Cook the pineapple, apricots, sugar, cornstarch and salt together, stirring constantly, until thick and clear.
    Cool.
