Texas Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. (1 1/4 c.) pinto beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 tsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 cans (1 lb. each) tomatoes
Preparation

Cook beans and drain, saving 1 cup liquid.
Cook meat until it loses its red color, breaking it with a fork.
Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic.
Cook 5 minutes longer.
Add seasonings. Break up tomatoes, combine with meat, beans and 1 cup bean liquid. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Serves 10.
