Lemon Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Stir in extracts.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until test done.
Cool for 10 minutes in pans before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
Frost with Lemon Orange Frosting.
