Barley Veggie Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. cubed chuck roast or stew beef
    5 medium potatoes, cut into cubes
    33 baby carrots
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 can diced tomatoes
    4 c. water or cover all
    4 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 tsp. sugar or substitute
    1/4 tsp. salt or to taste
    1/4 tsp. pepper or to taste
Preparation
    Cook all in crock-pot overnight or in Dutch kettle for 3 hours. Brown chuck roast or stew meat.
