Cinnamon Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. large cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    8 1/2 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 bottle red food coloring
    1 tsp. alum
    3 sticks cinnamon
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 small pkg. red hots
    5 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Peel, slice and seed 2 gallons cucumbers.
    Soak in lime and 8 1/2 cups water for 24 hours.
    Drain and wash.
    Soak in clear water for 3 hours.
