Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 baked pie crusts (9-inch)
1 can flaked coconut
1 qt. milk
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 pinches salt
8 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 eggs, separated (put yolks in cup)
Preparation

Combine all the dry ingredients, cornstarch, sugar and salt. Put milk to simmer in 2-quart pot.
Take egg yolks and add some warm milk to them and mix to dry ingredients.
Add to pot and cook until thickened.
Add coconut; stir constantly.
Add to pie crust. Beat egg whites for meringue; put on top of pies and bake until golden brown.
