Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/3 to 1/2 c. onion bits
    1/2 lb. crisp bacon, crumbled
    1 head lettuce
    1 or 2 tomatoes
    1/2 or 1 green pepper, chopped
    1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) can mild chili beans (optional), drained
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder or salt (optional)
    Western salad dressing
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion bits and add crisp bacon, crumbled.
    In large bowl, break up lettuce.
    Cut up tomatoes, half or whole green pepper and Cheddar cheese.
    Add meat mixture and beans.
    Just before serving, toss with Western salad dressing and serve with nacho cheese chips.
    The chips may be crumbled or eaten with the salad.
