Veronica Perry'S Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pumpkin
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pie shell, baked for 5 minutes before filling
Preparation
    Mix pumpkin, sugar and spices together.
    Separate eggs.
    Beat yolks and add to mixture.
    Add 1 cup milk, butter and vanilla. Beat egg whites (not too dry).
    Fold into pumpkin mixture.
    Put in shell and bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Reduce oven to 325\u00b0 and continue baking until knife in center comes out clean.
