Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes, boiled in jackets
6 slices bacon
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. flour
1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
dash of pepper
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
Preparation

Peel potatoes and slice thin.
Fry bacon slowly in skillet, then drain.
Crumble bacon.
Saute onion in bacon fat until brown. Blend in skillet, flour, sugar, celery seed and pepper.
Cook over low heat until smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in water and vinegar.
Heat to boil, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 minute.
Carefully stir in potato slices and crumbled bacon pieces.
Remove from heat.
Cover and let stand until ready to serve.
