Ham, Potato And Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. ham drippings or butter
    6 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. milk
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 lb. cooked, diced potato
    12 small cooked onions
    1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
    1 lb. cooked, diced ham
Preparation
    Melt drippings or butter; blend in flour.
    Add milk, stirring constantly.
    Cook until thickened, boiling about 3 minutes. Add seasoning and cheese.
    Cook slowly until cheese melts; add ham, potatoes and onions.
    Pour mixture into greased casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned.
