Crisp Oatmeal Quicks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1 c. cornflakes or wheat flakes
    choice of 1/2 c. raisins, chopped nuts, 1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream together shortening, butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
    Blend in beaten eggs.
    Gradually blend in mixture of flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Fold in oatmeal, then cornflakes and vanilla.
    Add one of the choice ingredients.
    Blend choice in well and drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Yields 6 dozen.
