Scalloped Asparagus - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
pepper
2 cans green asparagus spears
1 small jar chopped pimento
4 hard-boiled eggs
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/3 c. bread crumbs
milk
Preparation

Melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Add flour, salt and pepper to make a smooth paste.
Drain asparagus. Add enough milk to liquid to make 2 cups of liquid. Cook until thickened.
Add pimento. Cover bottom of a 9 x 9-inch casserole dish with half of the asparagus, sliced eggs and cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Top with bread crumbs.
Melt remaining butter and pour over top. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
