Kraut And Beer Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. beer
    2/3 c. rinsed, drained and chopped sauerkraut
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    with
    sugar.
    Beat
    in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry
    ingredients;
    add
    alternately with beer to egg mixture. Stir
    in kraut.
    Turn into 2 greased and floured 8-inch pans. Bake
    in
    350\u00b0
    oven for 40 minutes or cake tests done. Cool on racks, then frost with chocolate or vanilla icing.
    If preferred, bake in tube pan for 60 minutes.
