Chicken Fried Round Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1/2 inch thick)
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. saltines, crushed fine (28 crackers)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Pound steak to 1/4 inch thick.
    Cut in 6 serving size pieces. Blend egg and milk.
    Combine cracker crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Dip meat in egg mixture, then crumbs.
    In a 12-inch skillet, slowly brown meat in hot oil, turning once.
    Cover tightly; cook over low heat until meat is tender, 45 to 60 minutes.
