New York Cheesecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pounds cream cheese
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    2 large eggs, slightly beaten
    1 cup sour cream
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth and light.
    Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and cornstarch - only until thoroughly mixed. Stir in sour cream until mixture is well blended.
    Pour the mixture into a prepared graham cracker crust and bake for 45 minutes. Allow to cool in the oven with door propped slightly open for 3 hours.
    Chill.
    Can top with favorite fruit pie filling.
