Kourabiedes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sweet butter
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond extract or 1 jigger whiskey
    4 to 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Beat butter and sugar until creamy, about 15 minutes.
    Add egg yolk and flour.
    Beat until well blended.
    Gradually add flour until the mixture holds shape (crescent round, etc.).
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes until lightly brown.
    Allow to cool slightly before removing from pan.
