Firehouse Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. chopped lean meat
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder (more or less to taste)
    1 chopped green pepper
    1 chopped onion
    1 large can crushed tomatoes
    1 large can kidney beans
    5 large dashes Tabasco sauce
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
Preparation
    Brown meat and drain off fat.
    Put meat in a 1-quart pot and add 2 cups water.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer over low heat for 2 hours.
    Keep pot covered.
    Stir occasionally.
    Serves 5 to 6.
