Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
4 eggs
4 Tbsp. flour
vanilla
1 can coconut
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix sugar with flour.
Beat egg yolks with milk.
Add sugar mixture to milk mixture.
Cook in heavy pan until thick; add butter and vanilla.
Beat, then add coconut.
Pour in baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites until holds peak.
Add 8 teaspoons sugar. Beat until very stiff.
Top pie with egg whites and let brown in a slow oven.
