Terry'S Famous Cornish Pastry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. short pastry (pie crust can be used)
6 oz. stew meat
2 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 onion, skinned and finely chopped
1 small turnip, chopped
salt and pepper
1 1/2 oz. butter
1 egg (to glaze)
Preparation

Roll out pastry, trim fat off beef and cut into paper thin slices. Mix meat and vegetables.
Put mixture into pastry and season well.
Top with butter. Dampen pastry edges with water and draw up edges to meet at top of pastry.
Pinch together and poke top with fork to vent.
Brush pastry with beaten egg.
Place on greased baking tray.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce to 350\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes more.
Can serve with gravy or A.1. steak sauce on the side.
