Apple-Nut Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 c. finely chopped Georgia apples

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
Add to cream mixture alternately with sour cream.
Stir in apples.
Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
