Dottie'S Leftover Kielbasa Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. turkey Polsku kielbasa, cut
    1 celery stalk, chopped
    1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (6 oz.) can V-8 juice
    1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes or 3 ripe tomatoes *
    1 (8 oz.) can chicken broth
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. uncooked or cooked rice
    1/2 c. corn, cooked or uncooked
    small cabbage, chopped or leftover cabbage, cooked
Preparation
    In large Dutch oven or crock-pot, combine ingredients and 5 cups of water.
    Cover and simmer 1 /2 hours or equal time in crock-pot until tender.
    Makes about 8 servings.
