Strawberry Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    strawberries
    vinegar
    sugar
Preparation
    Fill a jar with rinsed whole strawberries (do not hull).
    Cover with vinegar and seal.
    Refrigerate for 10 days.
    Strain and measure vinegar; discard berries.
    For each pint of vinegar, add 3 cups sugar.
    Bring mixture to a boil; boil 2 minutes.
    Cool.
    Pour into sterile bottles or jars; seal.
    Use as a base for salad dressings.
    Perfect for holiday gifts, too.
