Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 Tbsp. margarine, softened
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. milk
3/4 c. flaked coconut
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt into a 1 1/2-quart saucepan. Stir in milk gradually.
Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir at least half of the flaked coconut gradually into egg yolks.
Blend into hot mixture in saucepan.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
Pour into pie shell.
Sprinkle top with 1/4 cup flaked coconut.
