Dunking Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 tsp. ???
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1 egg white
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1/4 c. milk
    2 3/4 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. mace
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine, in the order listed, all ingredients except the oil.
    Stir well and turn out on a floured board. Flatten the dough to about 5/8-inch thick.
    Cut out doughnuts with doughnut cutter or glass.
    Drop the doughnuts into hot oil until brown on one side.
    Turn and brown the other side.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Roll in powdered sugar or sugar cinnamon mixture.
