Holiday Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. presifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
    2 c. halved candied cherries
    2 c. chopped pitted dates
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix margarine, sugar and eggs.
    Stir in buttermilk. Mix together dry ingredients and add to batter.
    Stir in nuts, cherries and dates.
    Chill dough 1 hour or overnight.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Store tightly covered.
