New Southern Cracklin' Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup self-rising cornmeal
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1-8 3/4 oz. can cream style corn
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cracklin' pieces
1/4 cup salad or peanut oil
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In medium mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, eggs, corn, sour cream, cracklin', oil, and salt.
Mix together well using wire whip or spatula.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan or dish.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool or 5 minutes before cutting into pieces. Carefully lift out with spatula onto hot serving platter.
Serves 10-12.
