Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. cornmeal
Preparation

Cream the Crisco and sugar together.
Mix in egg.
Add dry mixture to creamed mixture. Drop heaping teaspoonful of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
Flatten mounds slightly with moistened spoon.
Bake 12 minutes or until light brown. Makes 3 dozen.
