Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
6 to 7 c. sliced, pared apples
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Mix sugar and cinnamon; mix lightly through apples.
Heap up in pastry-lined pan.
Dot with butter.
Cover with top crust which has slits cut in it.
Seal and flute.
Cover edge with 1/2-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until nicely browned and apples are cooked through.
Makes 9-inch pie.
