Bran Muffins(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. all-bran cereal
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    In a 1 cup measure, heat water to boiling (1 minute).
    Place bran cereal in bowl.
    Stir in water until moistened.
    Add butter and let set until softened.
    Cover.
    Stir in sugar and egg; beat well.
    Blend in flour, soda and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Spoon into paper lined custard cups filling half full.
    Store any remaining batter in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks, using from it as desired. This recipe is easily doubled.
    Cook muffins uncovered until no doughy spots remain.
