Spiced Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. small carrots, scraped
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 whole cloves
    1 (3-inch) cinnamon, broken
Preparation
    Cut carrots into 3-inch long very thin sticks.
    Blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes.
    Drain and cool under cold water. Drain again and place in bowl.
