Captain Mcgowan'S Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 8 lb. beef roast
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Season roast.
    Before 11:00 a.m. preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cook roast in open pan for one hour.
    Turn off oven.
    Do not open door. Leave roast in oven.
    At 6:00 p.m. turn oven on to 375\u00b0.
    When oven reaches that temperature, start timing; 15 minutes for rare, 20 minutes for medium and 25 minutes for well done.
    Take roast out of oven immediately and serve.
    Works well for almost any size roast.
