Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Place butter on top and cover.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix well and bake at 350\u00b0 in an oblong 9 x 13-inch pan for about 30 to 40 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
While cake is baking, prepare topping.
