Shrimp Oriental - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    3 to 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    3 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 lb. cooked, medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1 medium red bell pepper, diced 1/2 inch
    1 c. fresh pea pods, cut into thirds
    2 to 3 tsp. finely minced, fresh ginger
Preparation
    Bring water, soy sauce, sherry and onion to boil in skillet; stir in rice.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add shrimp, red pepper, pea pods and ginger.
    Stir.
    Cover and remove from heat. Let stand until all liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
