Lentil-Barley Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine
3/4 c. chopped celery
3/4 c. brown lentils
3/4 c. barley
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
3/4 c. chopped onion
6 c. water
1 qt. canned tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. rosemary
1/2 c. shredded carrots
Preparation

Saute in a large pan:
margarine, onion and celery.
Add water and lentils, cook 20 minutes.
Add tomatoes, barley, salt, pepper, rosemary and garlic salt; simmer 45 to 60 minutes, until barley is tender.
Add carrots.
Cook five minutes and serve.
Serves 4.
