Never-Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 egg
    milk
    2 level tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Beat egg in a measuring cup.
    Add enough milk to make 1/2 cup liquid.
    Add to dry ingredients, beating until all the flour is mixed in.
    Let raise 5 minutes.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto hot beef stew or chicken broth. Cook for 20 minutes, covered.
