Creamy Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook flour and milk over very low heat, stirring, so it will not lump.
    Cook to a very thick paste.
    Let it thicken, but not scorch.
    Let cool.
    (After it gets cold, it gets sort of like cold Cream of Wheat, but don't scream and say \"What have I done?\" That's a normal reaction the first time you make it.)
