Fu'S Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sirloin, cut 1/4-inch thick
    2 Tbsp. beef suet
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 slice garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bouillon cube
    1 c. hot water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
    1 large green pepper, cut in thin strips
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    4 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Cut beef in serving pieces or narrow strips.
    Brown slowly in hot beef fat about 15 minutes.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Stir and cook about 2 minutes longer.
    Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water.
    Add to meat.
    Cover skillet and let simmer until meat is almost done, 20 to 30 minutes.
    Cook 10 minutes longer.
    Remove garlic slice.
    Uncover skillet; add combined cornstarch, water and soy sauce stirred together and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 6.
