Walnut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In mixing bowl sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening.
Stir
in 1 1/4 cups of the walnuts. Add milk, eggs
and
vanilla.
Mix
just
until blended.
Turn into
greased and
floured
9
x
5-inch
loaf
pan.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup walnuts on over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 or 70 minutes or until it tests done.
