Mexicali Casserole - cooking recipe

2 c. uncooked macaroni
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can chili beans *
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tomato, chopped
Preparation

*Chili beans are kidney beans in chili sauce.
If substituting kidney beans, increase the chili powder to 3 teaspoons.
