Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
2 eggs
4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add remaining ingredients.
Roll 1/4-inch thick on floured board.
Cut with cookie cutters.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 5 to 8 minutes.
Makes thin, crisp cookies.
