Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. Crisco, melted
    1 c. diced pared apples or drained crushed pineapple
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    Crisco for deep frying
Preparation
    Beat egg with milk; stir in the 1 tablespoon melted Crisco and the fruit.
    Combine dry ingredients; add to egg mixture and stir just until mixed.
    Drop from tablespoon into deep Crisco heated to 375\u00b0.
    Fry about 4 minutes, until brown and done in the center. Drain on paper toweling.
    Serve hot.
    If desired, roll in confectioners sugar.
