Congo Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 lb. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c. nutmeats
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift dry ingredients.
Cream shortening, sugars and eggs.
Add dry ingredients and mix.
Spread mixture into 9 x 12-inch pan (lightly greased).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes, or until done.
